UK and Eire: Folklore

Much of my writing evolves from the folklore of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. In many ways this differs from the Scandinavian folklore with which JRR Tolkien familiarised us. In many ways, too, it runs parallel.

What attracts me to the folklore of the UK are the unique faerie creatures, each with their own stories and foibles. Some are dangerous, some are helpful; some are beautiful, others hideously ugly. All are fascinating.
