comments = I have enjoyed your books, but my wife Karen is estatic about them. I was curious about the possibility of getting a signed copy of The Well of Tears.
I'm not sure what I need to do to accomplish this. Please let me know. I know the book won't be out until February, but I would like to print off a picture and put it in her stocking for christmas.
Thanks!!!!!

comments = In Italy have been translated only two books "The Ill-Made Mute" and "The Lady of the Sorrows". I like very much the style which they are written. The history is very beautifully. I hope that the editor will translate quickly the third book "The Battle of Evernight".

comments = Dearest Ms. dart-Thornton,
There is so much that I would like to say, but, judging by the success of your work I think you are probably one very busy lady. First, I must impress upon you the way the Bitterbynde has changed my life. Never before had I been so immersed in a tale before, astounded by the magic woven into the telling. You have such an extraodinary gift to bring your characters to life, which in itself is a wonderful ability.
I have questions to ask, but I do not know if you will ever read this. But I must know!
What is the gift that the lady of Faerie bestowed upon Ashalind?
Also, did Thorn find a way to make her immortal?
In my heart, the story cannot finish without me knowing this!
May others also find the joy that I have found in your tales, and may your words give them wings to fly upon so that they, too, can find encouragement.
Thank you for a moment of your time, it means a lot to me.
Please, if you are able, respond to my messege. Nothing would bring me greater joy.
All my best wishes for you, and those who read your work,
Kara Anja Marais, South Africa

comments = I work for a wonderful independant book store in the accounting office. I also am a prolific reader. The store does a monthly newsletter and includes reviews from employees. I fell in love with Cecilia's writing from the first page of 'The Ill-Made Mute' and reviewed all three books of that series. Now I'm happily reviewing the Crowthistle Chronicles having just finished an advanced copy of 'The Well of Tears'. I can't wait for the book with the CD!!!!
Aside from my penchant for fantasy and sci fi, Ms. Dart-Thornton appeals to my Scottish ancestry with her wonderful characters and old stories.

Wed, 4 Jan 2006 11:27:16 +1100 Dear Cecilia
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, I certainly did. Also I watched ' the Last of the Mohicans' with mum and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
I can definitely see D D-L as Thorn from your descriptions of the character, he's certainly more wonderful than the original Thorn I'd imagined. I also loved it in the movie when he ran through the battle to save Cora. Mum and I are thinking of watching it again before sending it back to the video store.
I also borrowed 'the Silver Metal Lover' from the library and although I only got it yesterday afternoon I haven't been able to put it down.
(I was ordered to put it away at dinner time because I was bordering on rude). At the moment I'm at the part where Jane is deliriously happy and living in her redecorated appartment. I'm glad you suggested the book to me as I had never heard of it before.
Before I got your email, I had just sent one to a friend of mine. This friend and I used to sit around at lunchtime at school and talk about how wonderful your books were. This is quoted directly from her email- " those books are up there with the best fantasy novels of all time in my opinion". I'd have to say I agree with her.
You must feel pleased that you've finished 'Weatherwitch'. Is it hard to do a final read through when you've spent so long working through every single detail in the book? Or is this the time when you can enjoy the work that you have created? I've been wondering what could happen in the next two books and basically I have absolutely no idea what it will be. I think that is another reason why i like your books so much,
they always have me surprised as to what will happen next.
Thank you for replying to my email and I wish you a very Happy New Year with lots of time to write more wonderful books.
Lots of love Caroline

Hi, I was just wondering if you were going to publish the Well of Tears CD secrets (and any of the other editions to come) in other ways besides from
the trade paperbacks? Because I bought a copy of the A format of The Iron Tree and because if have this (sorta) Compulsive disorder where I need my books to be the same size (in the same series) I couldn't get the CD with the A Format the Well of Tears. So I was wondering whether you would decide to publish it with the A format or with the other CD editions (without the books) when they come out. If not then there's not much I can do about it,
but at least I'll get the exciting read of the Well of Tears when it comes out on 1st of August - it's been tormenting me in trade paperback all year!
